About Me
Hey there!
I am Akshata Shenoy, an architect and an interior designer, residing in one of the most welcoming cities in India - Bangalore! A designer by profession and a die-hard coffee addict by heart, one can find me day-dreaming about all things design and plants, in a quaint cafe sipping on some coffee.
Art and Design have played an important part in my life for as long as I can remember. Growing up, I would always choose pencils and crayons over any outdoor activities. While my interest in outdoor activities has grown immensely over time (thankfully!), so has my passion and curiosity for art and architecture which, needless to say, has translated into a love of travel and exploration as well.
I have been practicing architectural design professionally since 2016 under the able guidance of some of the most inspiring studios. You can take a look here for more on my experience. :)
What’s my style?
I personally believe in simplicity, and it most certainly transcends into my approach to space making. For me, architecture is having the privilege of designing and converting a space so that someone can call it their own, about creating spaces deeply rooted in their cultural and local context, spaces that not only celebrate joy but also provide solace on a hard day!
My constant curiosity to learn and explore has made it impossible for me to be bound and married to a single signature style - I strive to incorporate the local elements in my process as much as I can. Having said that, I am a firm believer of “to each their own”, my approach, is to make your space your own. I feel a designer is just a catalyst in bringing one’s idea of something to life creatively and efficiently.

How do we do it?
We discuss one-on-one and prepare a design that best suits your personal taste. Be it residential, renovation, cafe, institution - I’ve got your back.
I will then provide an end-to-end turnkey solution to making it happen on site. I have a flexible and a hands-on approach to what comes my way and I am also open to collaborations. I undertake design services in its entirety - structural, electrical, plumbing - you name it, and I’ll get it done for you!
